What does a wedding planner do in her "spare time?" Well first of all, we don't really have "spare time". But this year I did make time to accompany for the Dracut High School's performances of "Chicago". Not only do I get to see Director Jack Neary and choreographer Phyllis George in action, but my good friend and fellow vocalist with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, Leon Grande,is the Musical Director in his 16th and last musical before retirement.
The kids are fantastic and have lots of energy and the sets/costumes/lights/orchestra are really fantastic. The run starts this Thursday, April 7 at 7pm and then Friday and Saturday's shows are at 8pm. Before each performance there will be a special video presentation with snippets from each of the past 15 shows.
It has been a lot of fun being an accompanist/pit musician for a few hours a week. I have a tremendous amount of respect for education and am happy to support such a great musical! why don't you plan to come and see murder, scandal, dancing and some fabulous singing!?
Break a leg to all the DHS students! It has been an honor playing for you all!
