DIY Baking - Heart Cookie Pops

IMG_2107.JPG

Happy Monday! This Friday is Valentine's Day and we are devoting our blog posts this week to all things heart and love! These cookie pops couldn't be easier to make and look so cute! Just use your favorite sugar cookie dough recipe and cut out some cute little hearts and put them onto a cookie sheet, preferably lined with parchment or a Silpat. Gently press a lollipop stick into the center of the cookie and bake until the cookie is light brown on the edges (or however you like them done). The cookie will bake around the stick and hold on! I watched the first batch carefully in the oven because I was afraid the sticks would catch on fire but they didn't. Whew!

After the cookies are cooled COMPLETELY, you can start decorating them. I used my favorite Royal Icing recipe and then used sprinkles and mini m&m's. Put them on a drying rack to dry completely and then you can wrap them up or serve them in a platter!

Have a Yummy Monday!
