Throwback Thursday: Connie & Ben's Destination Wedding in Louisiana

When your business is one that is designed to help people (like being a wedding planner) and you have a lovely friend that is in need of your help because they are getting married, it's time to get to work! This past April my wonderful friend Connie, married her love, Ben in a fabulous destination wedding in the tiny town of St. Francisville, Lousiana (about 30 minutes north of of Baton Rouge). We were honored to be asked to help with the planning and logistics for this three day event.

Connie and Ben are both professional photographers and have seen their share of amazing weddings. Their photographer, Channing Johnson, took some exquisite photos of the weekend and Joyelle West captured some great detail shots of the wedding.

It's always an honor to help friends get married and it was such an honor to help Connie and Ben. Not only for their wonderful wedding but for all the help her family and friends gave on the day of the wedding to help with the set-up. That was a unique and very special moment that I will keep from that weekend.

This wedding had some stunning details (Connie's beautiful pink dress), a gorgeous setting (al fresco in the old foundation of the home that still remains in the gardens), the china, glassware and flatware that Connie lovingly selected piece by piece and collected over the year of planning, and whimsical florals by her friend Apryl of Petalena.

Congratulations Connie and Ben! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!
