Super Bowl Invitation: Are you ready for some Football?

Here in New England we are buried under a blanket of snow and the thought of being somewhere warm and sunny is pretty enticing. Super Bowl XLIX is a mere four days away and happens to be in Phoenix, Arizona where it's sure to be a tad warmer than it is here!

We created a "Fantasy Football" invitation using a Football Testured paper by Wintech and our favorite "Astroturf" paper from Wintech.  The Navy invitation box and card stock are from our favorite Paper Source. We are using the colors of the New England Patriots but you can use any colorr to represent the team you love.

We cut the Football paper into 5" x 7" and then cut one of the pieces in half lengthwise. We measured out where we wanted the holes for the laces and for the white strips at the end.

We placed 1/2" strips of white card stock on the ends and in the center of the invitation folder. We cut thr strips a little longer so we can trim it exactly flush later.

We ised 1/8" white satin ribbon and laced it through the holes. This is the back of the invitation. We used scraps of the Football paper to secure the ends of the ribbon. Once all this was completed be covered it up with another 5" x 7" piece of the Football paper and trimmed all the edges.

We took two more 5" x 7" pieces of Football paper and secured them together. We cut a 1" strip of white card stock and glued another piece on top of it and then set this down the center of the two 5" x 5" panels to create a folder.
