I don’t know where to begin to thank you for everything and everyway you helped make Diane’s wedding such a beautiful and successful event. From the first moment I met you, seeing you interact with Diane, discerning her needs so well, and drawing her out to voice her ideas, likes, dislikes, etc., I knew I had made the right choice in choosing you for our wedding planner. You were so patient, understanding and supportive of Diane. Never did you force your opinion, but when needed, you gently nudged us in the direction needed. It was a relationship that started slowly, grew quickly and ended in complete trust, respect and reliance in you and your ideas.

You were able to take what work we had done up to that point, hopped on board without a hitch, and organized us and all our “loose-ends” into a streamlined time-line so that we no longer felt overwhelmed and rudderless. Like a mother duck with her ducklings following behind, someone was finally in charge and knew exactly what to do, when to do it and how to do it.

Shall I list a few of the many, many ways you saved us?
1) First and foremost, Diane found a “spokesperson” in you. She found someone who would deal with all the vendors on her behalf, making sure her wishes for her wedding were carried out.
2) You found great vendors for us, (DJ, make-up artist, limousine) and did exactly what you state you can do – you saved money for us. Jim loved that.
3) The DJ was fabulous and worked so well with the band, blending American music with Greek music and giving us just a great “party night” at the reception.
4) The Makeup artistl made us all look beautiful, most especially Diane. She was easy to work with, a true professional. She and our hairdresser worked so amicably together on the day of the wedding that our hair and make-up appointments were actually relaxing.
5) What can I say about the magic you were able to work with the limousine company, except that it was a challenge and you so easily rose to the occasion. Jim loved the prices you were able to negotiate. You worked wonders with all the changes and limos we needed especially for the “elderlies”. But you really went above and beyond the call of duty in working with Adam’s family to get them the limousines they needed, in the color Diane wanted. Your professionalism and patience were really tested on that task and as with everything, you came through with flying colors.
6) Who would have thought that platinum, candlelight, purple and yellow would look so absolutely perfect together in the Plaza Ballroom of the Seaport Hotel? Thank Heavens we trusted in your visual expertise from having worked there so many other times.

I could go on and on, but there are two instances that need to be mentioned and highlighted in this letter.

First among these was how you rescued me 3 days before the wedding. You heard my cry of despair. You came running over, calmed me down, reassured me of dress choices, and took me by the hand to go shopping at Bloomingdales so that I could pick out a lipstick! I had reached my stress limit and even the thought of this small chore was more than I could handle. This was most definitely not a service listed in your contract, but by this time you had become more than our wedding planner - you were a member of the family, the only person we could turn to for help, understanding, and claming of nerves.

Last, but most definitely not least, you became as important to Diane as Adam or me. The slow developing relationship had become a strong, solid relationship of absolute trust and friendship. You became the person she relied on, listened to, believed in and counted on to make her day perfect, and you did make it perfect. The smile on her face never left the entire day, from the make-up session to the end of the reception. You gave Diane the wedding of her dreams and for that you deserve more praise and thanks than we could ever put in a letter.

We are indebted to you for Adam & Diane and all our guests having just a great, flawless, happy time at the wedding. You were the best investment I made! You gave us a day beyond compare – our guests wrote and called to tell us that they had never been to such an elegant and yet happy and fun wedding. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything you did to make the day perfect.
