I sit here writing this just the day after the most amazing,
beautiful, perfect day of our lives – a day that
was made possible by our wonderful wedding planner,
Donna Kim.
It was nine months prior to our wedding – a
time when I was feeling overwhelmed by trying to plan
our wedding while working full-time. I felt like I
had so many ideas, saved links, and magazine clippings
but didn’t know how to put it all together.
Also, I had already spent countless hours online,
poring through endless websites, to try to
find recommendations and reviews for the vendors I
had yet to choose.
I found this process extremely frustrating and I was
afraid that I was leading myself down the wrong path
by only going with vendors that I could find online
or in wedding magazines. In addition, I found myself
feeling completely overwhelmed by the thought of all
the details to coordinate and all the things that
could go wrong on our wedding day.
It was around that time that I decided that to save
my sanity and find a wedding planner, and luckily
for me I found Donna. From our first phone call, I
found myself feeling so reassured and just amazed
that she so quickly got on the same page as me and
understood just what I was trying to convey. By the
next day, Donna had become part of my wedding team
and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Donna was the best – always there for me, always
ready to email me back promptly to answer my many
questions, and as a type A details type of bride,
I always had a LOT of questions! I felt so relieved
to finally have answers to all of my questions, and
Donna has so many contacts in the wedding industry
and could always make recommendations. She took care
of the hard stuff – the initial contact, negotiations,
and pushing back on the vendors when someone wasn’t
giving her bride what she felt she should have. Donna
could always be the “tough guy” and would
go all out to protect our interests. She was the one
to remember all the details and give me lists of things
to remember, fill out, and hand back to her to take
care of. She knew my budget and didn’t try to
push anything but instead, was so instrumental in
helping us to spend our money in just the right places
where it would make the most impact. Even the places
where we “cut back” – the end result
was quality and impressed everyone.
Our wedding was amazing – every single person
we spoke to was in awe over the beauty of the location,
the décor, the smoothness of the event, all
the little details. Donna was everywhere she needed
to be – she made sure everyone knew what they
were supposed to do, where
they were supposed to be, and I never had to worry
about anything.
When buttons came loose and stains appeared, Donna
was ready to save the day. All of the time that Donna
spent with me to help design and plan the wedding
was so worth it – many people stated that our
wedding was the most breathtaking and perfect that
they had ever attended. I feel very strongly that
my wedding day would not have been close to as amazing
if I hadn’t had Donna, and in fact, would probably
have ended up costing me more money without Donna’s
cost-saving strategies and relationships with vendors.
I really can’t say enough – I could keep
going on and on with all of the things Donna did for
us. I always felt like she cared about us personally,
and that we weren’t just “clients”
where every minute was being counted – it was
like she was a friend. I am grateful beyond words
to have had Donna as part of my wedding and hope that
now after the wedding is over, that we will continue
to stay in touch. Donna is a true rockstar and it
is with genuine fondness and sincerity that I thank
her for the best day of our lives and wish her all
the best.
